Reading Roots Family

Reading Roots Literacy has four targeted programs to ensure students of any age or level can quickly learn to read and write:

Reading Sprouts

Reading Sprouts will give beginning readers the foundation for reading. They learn the sounds of letters, and how to blend for reading and segment for spelling. They learn to sound out simple words and read simple sentences.

Reading Roots

With Sprouts as a foundation, students learn about letter combinations and more complex words, including how to read and spell the 100 most common sight words. They do comprehension exercises and creative writing.

Phonics & Pronunciation

A condensed version of Sprouts and Roots for mature readers, especially for English as Additional Language (EAL) learners. We make sure they have the foundation and then we build on it, focusing on pronunciation.

Joe & Joan Program

The program that started it all with charming colouring book readers and a core focus on systematic, explicit phonics. It features all kinds of games, and activities, partner reading with levelled books, creative writing and creative centres.
